For 11 years now VA has sought to understand where “it” is at as far as design and technology are concerned. At some point in our history, we locked those thoughts into our vision statement:
“A team committed to technical and aesthetic excellence, curiosity and the sharing of ideas”
This philosophy is at the heart of all our work. From the simplest to the most complicated logo, website or digital marketing campaign we work on.
However…
When it comes to our own work we are always keen to push things a bit further. To explore boundaries, sometimes for our own curiosity, sometimes just to see if what’s outside the box really is all that.

Our 10th Anniversary

In late 2019 we decided to tackle a project to celebrate our 10th anniversary in 2020.
With a team of creatives, it isn’t hard to come up with great ideas. Making them happen though is always a team effort and this one saw the entire VA team out late on a school night to shoot a long exposure / light painting project. Sound fun? It was.
We don’t want to give away all our tricks but with a long stick of programmable LED’s, some predesigned graphics and a camera with a long shutter speed we wandered around in the dark for a few hours to generate these images and motion pieces.
But…
In sharing the stage with a global pandemic, our 10th-anniversary milestone seemed irrelevant. Instead, our focus was drawn to servicing our clients, some of whom were facing very hard times while some were enjoying unforeseen busy periods.
So, like any good idea we put it on the shelf to rest, an unfinished project, crafted but not polished. A year later, we’re still here and though the 10th anniversary has passed us by we’d still love to share the project with you.
